Sunrise maternity session
When I was pregnant with my first son, I didn't have any maternity photos taken. We were busy moving and renovating our new house, prepping for baby, and I figured the couple shots that someone had taken with their phone were more than adequate. Looking back now, though, I realize that I have almost no pictures from that time, and I really wish I did!
Now that I'm pregnant with our second son, I thought it'd be fun to try to take my own maternity pictures. I was definitely rethinking how "fun" it would be when it was 43 degrees at 7am and all my son wanted to do was run like a maniac through the trees and roll in the damp grass. But we managed to get in all the play time he wanted and grab a couple quick pictures! I'm so so happy that I have the memory and that I'll be able to look back and know that these were some of the last days before we became a family of four and my son became a big brother. Being able to revisit a moment in time like this is what having great photos is all about!
